Accounts

The pool is password-protected. Each kook creates their own entry (name, email, password). You only ever edit your card. Google or X sign-in works if you prefer that instead of email. Forgot password is on the sign-in page — board name plus email, then a new password. On Players, only AVD3 can drop an entry or free an email so that kook can sign up again.

Picks

Each week pick five games from the NFL slate, plus the Monday night game. No spreads. You cannot pick a sixth game — at five, the rest of the slate locks. Remove one to swap. Games that have already kicked off cannot be changed. Lock the card when the five, Monday night, and the total are in. This board starts fresh at Week 7. Weeks 2–6 were played on the old site; that season-to-date record is saved, but it doesn’t count on this board.

Scoring

A correct pick is worth 1 point (the five games plus Monday night). A game that ends in a tie is worth ½ point. Games you didn’t pick do not score.

Tiebreaker

Guess the combined score of Monday night (both teams’ points). Those totals stay hidden until Monday night kicks off. Closest absolute difference wins the week if points are tied. If two players are still tied, they share the week.

Weekly tiers

Each tier ($20, $50, $100) is its own pool, with its own card, picks, and pot. You can play more than one tier, with a separate card for each.

Same picks, scoring, and tiebreaker rules in every tier. Every tier pays out weekly, and each week starts fresh.

Miss your picks or your payment and you’re out for that week. Sorry.

Example, 10 entries in the $20: weekly winner gets $150, weekly runner-up gets $50. The $50 pays $375 and $125. The $100 pays $750 and $250. Shared places split that place’s money.

Venmo @awdegenkooks. Put the tier in the note, like Degenerate Kooks 50. AVD3 marks each kook paid on Players, per tier, when that week’s Venmo hits.

Side bets

Side bets are between two kooks, not the pool. Offer one on any game until the 4th quarter starts ($1–$500, whole dollars), to one kook or open to anyone; the other kook accepts or declines before then, and anything unanswered lapses at the start of the 4th quarter. Any kook can take an open offer, and each one who does makes their own bet with you. You settle it yourselves, directly (Venmo). The site never holds or moves money — it only tracks who bet whom and shows the result after the final.

Commissioner

After games finish, AVD3 posts scores on Results — tap Run Scorebot to pull finals, or type one by hand. Use Stats to read hit rates and apply a point correction. Announce is locked to AVD3, who sends the weekly winner email from picks@awdegenkooks.com. Replies land in awdegenkooks@gmail.com. The commissioner is blind too: AVD3 can’t see anyone else’s picks or tiebreaker before kickoff.
